  24. Hardware: PC, running under OS/2 (386DX, 6 MB)
  25.           about 1.5 MB disk space plus message base
  26.           VGA

  28. Software: OS/2 2.x/3.x (2.0 not testet, but should work)

  40. 2. New install and upgrading from an earlier version
  41. ====================================================

  43. #  IMPORTANT: This version again comes with a new MSGAPI32.DLL. It's the
  44. #             version shipped with Maximus 3.0 and fixes several problems.
  45. #             Please delete all instances of the old MSGAPI32.DLL and replace
  46. #             it with the new version.
  47.  
  48. a) Make backup copies of the *.INI files in the FleetStreet directory.
  49. b) Unpack in its own directory.
  50. c) run INSTALL.EXE.
  51. d) follow the instructions of the installation program.
  52. e) close installation program.
  53.  
  54. If you installed FleetStreet for the first time:
  55.  
  56. e) start FleetStreet (FLTSTRT.EXE). The setup notebook and the online help
  57.    will open up automagically.
  58. f) Enter at least one user name.
  59. g) Change to the "Tosser" page.
  60. h) read in Squish.Cfg. Adresses and origin line will be read from Squish.Cfg.
  61.    Check on the "addresses" page.
  62. i) Adjust rest of setup according to your needs.
  63. j) To be sure to save options after modification.

  69. 3.1 Fidonet Echomail
  70.  
  71. There are two Fido echos at 2:2490/2520, FLEETBETA and FLEETSTREET. FLEETBETA
  72. is the german language echo, FLEETSTREET is the international echo (english
  73. language). Please write a netmail to Harry Herrmannsdoerfer (2:2490/2520)
  74. if you want to carry the echo. You get a list of other nodes connected to
  75. this echo to make distribution cheaper. This echo may be routed without
  76. restrictions, but please inform us about connected nodes...

  108. Some problems with OS/2 Warp 3.0 are solved by Warp FixPack #7. I strongly
  109. recommend installing these patches! However, I do _not_ recommend installing
  110. any of the newer fixpacks (#10 and above). These are laden with bugs and cause
  111. a lot of problems with FleetStreet and other programs!

  138. Registered users can get on a mailing list. Whenever there is a new version,
  139. bug fix or other important information, I will send mail to all participants.

  141. Mail can be sent via CompuServe or Internet. There's a new entry in the
  142. registration forms for the mailing list.

  145. send me a short note.
